The Olde Newburgh Model Railroad Club
In 1942, the club's first meetings were held at various member's homes. The club's fist permanent home was the in the Town of Newburgh Recreation Department on Route 32. The club met there from 1979 until 1987, when it relocated to the Masonic Temple in the City of Newburgh. During this ten (10) year period while in the City of Newburgh, the permanent HO scale layout was nearly completed.
In December of 1988, the Masonic Temple was sold and the club moved to its current home in the Veteran's of Foreign Wars (VFW) Building on Oak Street in Walden, NY.
In 1979, the club began exhibiting its layouts at local areas train shows, county fairs, malls and functions. Since then, more than 1 million people have viewed and enjoyed our layouts.
